Fort St. John to host vigil for missing and murdered women

The event intends to raise awareness of the violence experienced by Aboriginal women and girls in Canada.

The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday with a unity walk from the Fort St. John Friendship Centre to City Hall. After the walk, the group will return to the Friendship Centre for dinner and music.

All members of the community are invited to join in and rally for justice for these women.

The Friendship Centre is also hosting a women's empowering workshop at 10:00 a.m. earlier that day. The workshop is free and lunch will be served.
