A ladies slow-pitch team is looking for help in order to compete at the international level.

The Craze Ladies Elite All-Star Slow-Pitch team, comprised of top tier players from Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Prince George, Kelowna, Calgary and Alberta, will be traveling to Hamilton, Ontario this summer, to compete in the Slow-Pitch World Series.

Due to the high costs that come with traveling, the team is hosting a fundraiser and charity event during the summer to help alleviate some of the expenses. The event will either be taking place at the Rec Centre or the Lido Theatre and will include a weekend of country and rock bands, a beer gardens, concessions, a silent auction and door prizes.

The Craze is also looking for sponsorship for their upcoming ball season, to help cover some of the cost of travel, uniforms and accommodations. In return for sponsorship, sponsors will have their businesses name on the team banner, which will be displayed at all the team’s games and events.

Sponsors will also receive free tickets to events hosted by the Craze, names on a shirt, spring jackets, radio and newspaper coverage and a photo of the team.

If not interested in sponsoring the team, silent auction prizes are also welcome for donation. The deadline for a donation will be the end of July. All donations will go to support the Josh Lequiere Memorial Fund and the Tyler Chantel Graham Travel and Accommodation Fund, for kids who are less fortunate to play hockey.

The ladies of the Craze would like to extend their thanks for considering this request and if interested in making a donation or sponsoring the team, please contact either Roxy Honing at 250-719-8581 or Tony Graham at 250-264-2678.
