Four males have been arrested after a complaint of a firearm near a school.

On Tuesday, the Fort St. John RCMP received a complaint in regards to a dark coloured vehicle with male occupants. The complaint suggested the males were in possession of a firearm potentially for a dangerous purpose near a school.

The RCMP located the vehicle at about 4 p.m. at 100 avenue and 102 street. Four male occupants were arrested without incident and the RCMP found an imitation pistol in the vehicle. The males cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

At this time, the RCMP haven’t released any more information about the incident as their investigation is on going.

The RCMP would like to thank the public in the area of the incident for their co-operation when the road was temporarily blocked.
