Gary Hilderman won Sunday’s Cecil Lake road race in a nail biter over second place George Gamble (Taylor). They sprinted side by side to the finish with Gary getting the nod by 4 inches on the finish line. Richard Wood was third and Pat Ferris 4th, all at 1:35:15 for the 48 km distance.

Adam Currie won 5th from Owen Giebelhaus with 1:38:52. Davide Loro got 7th from Roger St. Jean at 1:40:23. Hilda Bilodeau overcame a flat tire to get 1:52:31 for 9th.

Lindsay Jardine had 1:15:19 and Dian Loro 1:19:27 for the 30 km.

Bradley McDonald had 49:48 for 10k.

There is another busy week for the Blizzards, coming up.

Tuesday is the Duathlon at 7 pm. Irvin Tang has a perfect 4 and 0 record for the duathlons, so far. Start is at the Baldonnel School.

Thursday is the Aurora Personal Best time trial at the Baldonnel School at 7 pm. Prizes for the most improved 2011 times.

Sunday is an evening Cactus Trails mountain bike race at 7 pm. This is a tune up for next weekend’s Challenge Cup MTB race in Grande Prairie.

There is no FSJ Triathlon, this Sunday, as it was cancelled.
