Fort St. John RCMP have released further information about the accident that killed a two year-old boy near Prespatou.
Fort St. John RCMP were called out to the accident on Loop Road at around 3 p.m. Friday.
Sergeant Steve Perret says the tragic accident occurred on private property and the boy was run over by a transport truck that was backing up on the property.
Perret says the transport truck had been on the property being repaired and was being picked up by a driver for the trucking company when the incident occurred.
The boy died from his injuries after being hit.
The driver will not be facing charges after the incident.
