A group of local musicians are using their talents to help raise the spirits of an elderly family.

On Saturday, May 21, the North Peace Cultural Centre will be holding the Country & Country Gospel Music Night, a night of live music to help raise funds for the new hospital in the city and provide a night of musical entertainment for Jim and Irene Large.

The event will is being put on by two bands, Country Horizon and Don, Earl, Henry & Willy, who will both be performing throughout the evening.

The guest of honour for the fundraiser, Jim Large, is an elderly gentleman who was recently involved in a tractor accident, and the two bands have put together the event to provide some moral support.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. and the event is appropriate for all ages. Admission is by donations at the door, with the money raised going to support the development of the new Fort St. John hospital.
