Rising lake levels could affect residents living beside Moberly Lake, near Chetwynd.
The Peace River Regional District has issued a warning to residents that higher than normal snow packs, along with recent precipitation and warm weather conditions have raised water levels to or above the high water marks on the lake.
The District says it is concerned since the area is expected to see more precipitation over the next week, further increasing water levels in the lake.
It is asking residents to either move or secure their boats, equipment, fuel tanks, pesticides, garbage and other personal items from low lying areas around the lake.
Residents are also encouraged to refer to the District’s website for information on potential flooding areas and precautions they can take.
