There is no need for concern if a large amount of smoke is noticed east of Fort St. John.

The smoke is due to a large controlled fire, which is currently taking place on the 255 road and the airport area.

The fire is under control, although it is being requested that traffic refrain from traveling through the area if possible, as it will create a large amount of congestion.

The fire is the result of a standard field burning.
