Rink Rash Bash quickly approaching

This weekend, Fort St. John will play host to a royal rumble on roller skates.

On Saturday May 7, the Energetic City Roller Derby Association (ECRDA) will be hosting its first ever event at the North Peace Arena

The Rink Rash Bash will be featuring the local derby girls from ECRDA, as well as rookie skaters from Edmonton’s E-Ville Roller Derby Skaters, Prince George’s Rated PG Roller Girls, the Peace Region Roller Dolls from Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie Roller Derby Association.

The evening event will also be a double header, with the first game taking place at 6:30 p.m. and second game following immediately afterwards. Doors for the event will open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5 at the door or from one of the roller derby members. Pre-sale tickets allow access to the express-line.

The show is family friendly and children five and under will receive free admission. The ECRDA is asking anyone in attendance to also please bring a non-perishable food item for the Fort St. John Salvation Army Food Bank.
