 UPDATE There are reports police have caught the person(s) involved. It is unconfirmed whether there was a single person or more than one person.

Dawson Creek RCMP are on scene at South Peace Secondary School after a report of a suspicious person walking into the school.

Staff Sergeant Darren Traichevich says the call came in around 2:30 p.m. Traichevich says he cannot confirm if the school is in lockdown or if any weapons were involved.

However, he says police have set up a perimeter around the school.

No one from School District 59 was available to comment.
