Pedestrian hit and run Sunday near Canadian Tire

The Fort St. John RCMP are on the look-out for a vehicle and driver after a hit and run Sunday.

According to the RCMP, a female was struck by a truck while she was walking home from work in the alley way between Canadian Tire and the Esso on 100 street and 93 avenue.

The victim says the vehicle was a black, older style, Ford pick-up. The female only suffered minor injuries and did not require emergency services, but did received treatment at the Fort St. John Hospital.

The pick-up truck sped away after making a gesture at the female. The driver is described as wearing a black baseball cap, caucasian and approximately 35 years of age.

The victim could not provide any further description of the vehicle or the driver.
