UPDATE 2 One man has suffered what is reported to be second degree burns after a fire at the Mile Zero Trailer Park in Dawson Creek.

A male in his mid-20s to early 30s was transported to Dawson Creek Hospital by B.C. Ambulance, says Dawson Creek Deputy Fire Chief Bob Fulton.

Dawson Creek RCMP, the Dawson Creek Fire Department and B.C. Ambulance all responded to the fire.

Fulton says the fire began in an RV that then spread to a single-wide mobile home.  He says the travel trailer is completely destroyed and the mobile home suffered extensive damage.

There is no information on how the fire started and Fulton says the investigation is still ongoing.

No other buildings at the trailer park were damaged.



We are now getting conflicting reports. One resident is telling us that he did not see or hear any explosion, the fire department was quick to responed and put out any fire.

There have been reports of a an explosion at the Mile Zero Trailer Park in Dawson Creek.

Early reports suggest an explosion occured in one mobile home, which then caused a fire at two others.

We are still working on gathering more information and will post more as it becomes available.
