Update – Fort St. John experiencing power outages

 Update – As of 2:30pm, power has been restored in all the areas mentioned below.

 

Fort St. John is currently experiencing a number of power outages.

The first outage occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. and is taking place at the 10300 Block of 113 Ave. The outage is affecting five customers and is estimated to be resolved by 2:00 p.m. The cause of the outage has been attributed to a transformer replacement.

The second outage occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. and is affecting south of Road 262 North-East-West of the Alaska Highway. The outage is affecting over 900 customers and is estimated to be resolved by 2:30 p.m. The cause of this outage is currently being investigated.
