Pat Ferris has won his fourth Roubaix Cup Trophy.
On Sunday March 27, the final 27 km leg of the Cup, known as the Two River Roubaix took place, with Ferris coming in first with a time of 1:00:54, only 24 seconds ahead of second place George Gamble.
Ferris and his competitors overcame less than ideal cold and snowy conditions, racing through pavement, packed snow, ice, mud and water.
Despite the conditions, Ferris was able to close the gap while racing in the mud, passing leader George Campbell and maintaining the lead throughout the final paved stage of the race.
With a victory in the final race, Ferris won two stages in the Roubaix Cup, securing him 13.5 points and first place overall. Gamble, who finished second, ended the event with 11.5 points and third placed Gary Hilderman finishing with 6.5 points.
