This weekend, Fort St. John will be holding its annual Men’s Rec Hockey League year end tournament.


The tournament, scheduled to take place all weekend at both the Pomeroy and the North Peace Arena, begins tonight, with the majority of the games being played Saturday and Sunday.

Games will consist of two 15 minute periods, with the third period being 20 minutes, with a zamboni flooding the ice every two periods. Finals will consist of three, 20 minute periods.

Teams such as Brandl, Big Chief, Epscan and many other local teams will be participating in the fun filled tournament, with snacks and refreshments available for participants and observers.

There will also be a variety of games and other fun activities occurring, with a $5 draw at the final game with a $10,000 prize.
