The Women’s Resource Society is fighting violence through theatre.
It’s once again presenting the Vagina Monologues, for a one-time show on Saturday.
Around 20 local actresses have put in countless hours of practice in preparation for the big fundraiser.
The monologues are all based on true stories. The author of the play, Eve Ensler, conducted hundreds of interviews with women from all over the globe.
Executive Director of the Society, Emily Goodman says while the title of the play might be a bit uncomfortable for some, the performance will delight new audiences.
All the proceeds from the play will go towards the Women’s Resource Society. Tickets are $25each and are available through the Cultural Centre.
The show will be held at the Cultural Centre on Saturday at 7 p.m.
