The Knights of Columbus Bantam Flyers posted back to back wins over the weekend, clinching first in All Peace games.

Saturday, the Bantam boys began their back to back game weekend with a trip to Fairview. Despite giving up an early lead, the Flyers managed to tie the game up with 6:30 left in the first, thanks to Ryan Good. With less than two minutes left in the frame, Jeff Heber scored, giving the flyers the 2-1 lead entering the second.

The second period belonged to the Flyers. Lien Miller-Jeannotte opened the scoring in the second, with a goal five minutes in. With the score 3-1, Alex Hartman made sure to put the game out of reach for Fairview, scoring twice, one of which being a short handed marker.

The third period began with the Flyers leading 5-1. The team would finish the game beating Fairview 7-2, with third period goals coming from Good and Hartman, who completed his hat trick in the third period.

Sunday, the Flyers hosted Dawson Creek in Fort St. John. Good picked up right where he left off, scoring the games first goal with an end to end rush three minutes into the game. Although the first would end with the score tied at ones.

However, the tied score had quite a short life. Early in the second, Thomas Webster potted a rebound, giving the Flyers the 2-1 lead. Good seemed to be on fire this weekend, scoring the game winning goal, tipping in an O’Hanley point shot. Miller-Jeannotte would add an insurance marker for the Flyers, as they beat the Canucks by a final score of 4-1.

Flyers goalie Lane Delfs got the start in both games over the weekend, facing a total of 46 shots. Ryan Good also had himself an exceptional weekend, recording six points in the two games played.

The Flyers will close out their league play this Saturday, with a game in Peace River. Following that game will mark the beginning of the post season, in which the Flyers take on the fourth placed team. The Playoffs will commence in two weeks.
