Huskies hoping to earn valuable points over weekend

The Huskies will kick their weekend off with a home game on Friday and then will take to the road on Saturday.

On Friday, the NWJHL’s fifth place Fort St. John Huskies (13-15-0-0) will welcome the third place Grande Prairie Wheelers (18-7-0-6) at the North Peace Arena.

The game will mark the fourth time this season the two clubs will do business, with Fort St. John having won two of the three games they played.

The following day, the Huskies will travel to Peace River, where they will play the second place Navigators for the fifth and final time of the regular season.

The Huskies have had little success against the Navigators this year. Out of the four games they’ve played against each other, Fort St. John has been outscored 25-10 and has yet to beat Peace River this season.

A valuable four points are on the line for the Huskies this weekend, as they currently sit three points behind their rivals, Dawson Creek, for fourth place in the standings.
