It was a tie filled weekend for the Petroleum Association Midget Flyers.
Saturday, the Flyers welcomed High Prairie in a game which resulted in a 5-5 draw. With the Flyers down 4-2, Brett Howard single handedly gave the Flyers life. Howard scored two unassisted short handed goals in the same shift to tie the game at four all.
The Flyers would even take the lead, but High Prairie would respond minutes later to tie the game up for a final score of 5-5.
Sunday, the Flyers played Peace River in what was a physical affair. Despite firing 25 shots in the second period, Fort St. John found themselves down 2-1 entering the third.
Midway through the third frame, Basco would tie the game up for the Flyers, with the assist coming from Jayton Wieler.
After the weekend, the Flyers sit with a record of 6-2-2-0.
