The wind chill warning has come to an end for the Peace Region.
The forecast still calls for temperatures near minus 30 over the weekend, but at least the wind won’t be a factor. For Saturday, Environment Canada is calling for a high of minus 29 and on Sunday a high near minus 28. We could also see about 3cm of snow on Saturday and up to 5 on Sunday.
The weather should then turn around starting Monday as we could see a high of minus 13.
Roads in the region remain snow covered with slippery sections and some are reporting limited visibility with blowing snow.
