Wind chill warning remains in place

The wind chill warning issued by Environment Canada remains in place for Friday.

The wind chill temperature is again nudging minus 45 this morning but while there’s little forecast temperature relief for the weekend, there are signs of some major improvement by the middle of next week.

Meantime, Environment Canada snowfall estimates for today and tomorrow are running up to four centimeters and the Weather Network is running a five day top end estimate of 17 .

Yesterday’s recorded total at the airport, was only point four centimeters, but that doesn’t include what was received, after 11 o’clock last night.

It pushed the unofficial monthly total to just over nine centimeters, which is still less than one-third of the January norm, of 32.2.
