The North Peace Museum in Fort St. John has received a donation of several thousands of dollars from the North Peace Savings and Credit Union.
The Credit Union donated $25,000 on Wednesday, to match its previous donation of the same amount back in September 2010 to the museum.
The money will go towards the purchase of rolling shelving to help store and organize a greater number of artifacts, says Heather Longworth, the museum’s manager.
Longworth says that since the museum has recently undergone an expansion to increase its storage space, the shelving will now be able to be installed.
