Grow-op busted in Charlie Lake

A Charlie Lake man is facing one charge after a marijuana grow-operation was found in a home.

Fort St. John RCMP say that while conducting an increased number of patrols in the Charlie Lake area, due to several recent break-ins, officers found evidence of a grow-op at a residence.

After doing a preliminary investigation, police say that last Wednesday evening they executed a search warrant on the two-storey home.

They say they found 35 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, along with some marijuana that had already been harvested.

A 39 year-old man was arrested and is facing a charge of production of marijuana.

He has since been released from custody but is expected in court on Mar. 9.
