Support Fort St John News

Weatherwise we are about to start paying the price for what we’ve received in the first week of the year.

A snowfall warning is in place for much of the Peace Region and it doesn’t sound promising for motorists.

Beginning at about noon on Friday, a system featuring a strong Northwest wind will push into the Peace Region, and according to Environment Canada will dump between 7 and 12 centimeters of snow in Fort St. John region.

In addition, you won’t be able to dodge the system, on the other side of the border, as the snowfall warning extends to Grande Prairie.

On this side of the border, the South Peace snowfall estimates are even higher than the local ones.
