UPDATE Police say both the Ford Explorer and the Ford F350 were found Monday night.
The Ford Explorer was found around the area of 99 St. and 95 Ave. of Fort St. John. They say four people – two men, 19 and 24 years-old and two 15 year-old females – were found in the vehicle and arrested.
The two youths were later released, but police say the 24 year-old man is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance. The 19 year-old is also facing charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon. Police say both men are known to them.
The Ford F350 was found in the area of 83 St. and 93 Ave. There was no one in the vehicle at the time.
Police are still investigating both thefts, but are thanking the public for their assistance.
Two separate vehicles were reported stolen from the northeast area of Fort St. John.
Police say the vehicles were reported stolen Monday, one being a black 2008 Ford F350 crew cab and the other a green 1995 Ford Explorer.
The first truck has a British Columbia licence plate number AE1161 and has a large red Lincoln welder within the box. It was taken from the area of 113A Ave. and 88St.
The second truck has the B.C. licence plate number BSL705. It was taken from the area of 115 Ave. and 88 St.
There are no pictures for either vehicle.
Police say both thefts took place between 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.
They are reminding people to always lock their vehicles and to never hide keys inside a vehicle.
