The Christmas tree pickup program is set to commence Jan.8, 2011.
Next Saturday, between 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Visions of Change and the Girl Guides will be in charge of collecting used Christmas trees in Fort St. John.
Residents looking to dispose of their tree are asked to leave it on their curb before 9 a.m. and to strip the tree of all decorations.
People can also drop off their trees at the City Snow Removal Dump Site which is located at 79 Ave. and 93 St.
The collected and dropped off trees will be chipped and used for summer mulching as well as composting programs.
