2010 Mega Lottery winners announced

The Christmas surprises continued into Boxing Day for 60 winners of the 2010 Rotary Community Mega Lottery.

The lottery was held at the Totem Mall, Sunday with the grand prize winner being Tami Nicoll. As the top winner she gets a choice between $40,000 cash, a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS, a 2011 Ford Mustang GT or a 2011 Honda Pilot.

The second place winner was Brenda Murray who gets a choice between $25,000 cash, a 2011 GMC Terrain, a 2010 Ford Ranger XLT or a 2011 Honda Insight.

One lucky person will be looking forward to claiming two prizes. Greg Herman won both a $5,000 travel voucher as well as a $300 gift card to Canadian Tire.

All prize winners will be notified by phone on Dec. 27 between 1 and 5 p.m. and will be able to claim their winnings at the Fort St. John Rotary Club office on Dec. 28 between 1 and 5 p.m. The office is located in the green building behind the North Peace Museum at 110-9325 100 St.

This year, tickets were sold around Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Fort Nelson. All the proceeds collected go to benefit various non-profit groups in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
