Fort St. John RCMP are warning drivers that roads around the city are extremely slippery.
Police say Highway 97 north of the city has very poor visibility because of blowing snow.
They are asking the public to avoid travelling on that part of the highway unless it is absolutely necessary.
If drivers must travel, they are cautioned to use their headlights, slow down, and ensure they allow plenty of time to reach their destination.
Police also say it’s important to keep a safe distance between all vehicles.
