Fort St. John RCMP search for stolen Jeep

Fort St. John RCMP are searching for suspects after a vehicle was stolen early in the morning on Boxing Day.

Police say they received a call that a black 1992 Jeep Cherokee had been stolen from 97 Ave. near 93 St.

The vehicle has the licence plate number 164 PFW.

The vehicle was taken sometime between midnight and 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say fresh snow created difficulties in determining the number of people involved in the theft.  They also say the owner had the only vehicle key with him, so they are unsure as to how the suspects were able to enter the vehicle and if they had to break a window.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP detachment at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
