The Petroleum Association Midget Flyers had themselves good day in Grande Prairie.

On Sunday, The Midget Flyers entered Grande Prairie with hopes of a victory and left the town accomplishing their goal. The Flyers beat Grande Prairie by a score of 5-3, keeping their 4-0 undefeated streak alive.

The Flyers seemed to cruise through the first two periods, entering the third with a 4-1 lead. Although, after sitting on the lead, Grande Prairie scored twice and the Flyers found themselves only up by one. The team responded with a clutch third period goal, providing them with enough of a cushion to secure the 5-3 victory.

Leading the way offensively for the Flyers was Cayle Bell who scored twice and earned one assist and Blair Karasiuk providing three assists in the game. Goaltender Ryan Bueckert had a strong performance in net, making 39 saves for the win and earning one assist on the final goal.

The Midget Flyer’s next game is another league game against Beaverlodge, which is set to take place on Jan. 2.
