Four aboriginal students at Northern Lights College have received awards from Talisman Energy.

Delain Gauthier and Kole Norris from Moberly Lake, along with Brian Acko and Jordie Acko from the Doig River First Nation have each received $1,250 from the Talisman Aboriginal Entrance Awards.

Three of the students are in the camp cook/cook 1 program at the Dawson Creek campus and the fourth is a student in the power engineering and gas processing program at the Fort St. John campus.

Award applicants are chosen based on an essay describing how the award would help them in their studies at the College. The awards are given to full-time students entering any of the College’s programs and preference is given to students from northeast B.C.
