Motorists are advised this could be an ugly travel day in the Peace Region.

It took a little longer to make its presence felt than originally forecast, but a low pressure system in Alberta is now generating a band of snow extending from this area all the way to Lloydminster on the Alberta Saskatchewan border.

As a result a weather warning has been issued by Environment Canada for this region and by late this afternoon, some areas are expected to receive 10 to 15 centimeters of snow driven by a strong Northwesterly wind.

The government weather bureau also says conditions will be slow to improve, with flurries continuing tomorrow, and wind chill temperatures near Minus 35 today and tomorrow.
