It will be an eventful Saturday evening for the Fort St. John Flyers this weekend.

Not only will the Flyers play host to the Dawson Creek Senior Canucks on Saturday Dec. 10th, but the team will be holding its annual Teddy Bear Toss. The event will take place at the North Peace Arena and fans are encouraged to attend with a teddy bear to donate to the Salvation Army. Upon scoring the first goal, fans will be encouraged to throw their donations on the ice in support of this great cause.

Those kind enough to make a donation, please remember to put the teddy bears in a plastic bag, so the bears don’t stick to the ice. This is crucial in preventing damage to the toys as well as poor ice conditions for our Flyers.

The first place Flyers will attempt to continue their dominance, as they try to secure a home victory over the last place, winless Senior Canucks.

The evening promises to be full of excitement and holiday cheer, so please come down and support our Flyers and make a donation to the Salvation Army, making someone’s holiday a little more special.

Events begin at 8:30 p.m at the North Peace Arena and everyone is encouraged to attend.
