Restaurant employees told alleged robber would return

One man is in custody after Dawson Creek RCMP responded to an attempted robbery at the A&W restaurant, Tuesday morning.

Police say a male had gone into the restaurant and allegedly told employees that he would return to rob the restaurant.

They say during their investigation, a 37 year-old male was found and arrested. He is already facing robbery charges after the Mac’s Convenience Store in the city was robbed in August.

The suspect is expected to appear in court Tuesday to face charges of failing to comply with an undertaking.
