Grande Prairie girl robbed heading to school

 

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating after a 16 year-old girl was robbed on her way to school.

The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. Thursday. Police say the girl left a Tim Hortons driving a silver Cobalt west on 102 Ave. towards 102 St. The girl then stopped at the intersection of 102 Ave. and 102 St. and while she was stopped, a male opened the passenger door and got into her car.

Police say the suspect then unbuckled her seatbelt and told her to leave the car. The girl refused to leave and the male banged the girl’s head several times against the window.

The girl resisted and fought back. The suspect then took some money from the car before leaving.

The suspect is described as being a tall, aboriginal male with short black hair, a large nose and pock marks which might be from acne. He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans at the time of the incident.
