UPDATE – As of 8pm, Highway 2 is now open in both directions.
Highway 2 near Tomslake is closed after a fatal accident Monday morning.
Dawson Creek RCMP state one person is dead after two SUV’s collided head-on near Tomslake. The RCMP believe road conditions may have played a factor in collision.
Highway 2 is closed between Arndt Road and Tate Road and there is a detour in place using the Old Edmonton Highway, but expect long delays. As of 4pm, the RCMP say the highway be closed until at least 9pm. For further updates on the road, visit www.drivebc.ca
