The District of Taylor is running its second annual Coats for Christmas campaign.

The campaign started last year to help people in need have a way to keep warm in the winter months. Last year’s campaign was deemed a success and the District would like to make this year’s campaign bigger and better.

Coats for Christmas will take place throughout November and December. Coats donated will be distributed between Taylor, Baldonnel and Fort St. John. Taylor is partnering with the Fort St. John Salvation Army and Women’s Resource Centre to help distribute the items donated.

In addition to coats the District will be accepting mittens, toques, snow pants, boots, sweat pants, sweaters and any other items that individuals may have around the house that can help others stay warm during the winter months.

Donations can be made at the Community Services Office which is located at 9896 Cherry Ave. West, behind the Taylor Community Hall.

For more information, or if you know of anyone in need, contact District of Taylor Events and Program Leader Shelanda Ryder. She can be reached by phone at 250-789-3333 ext. 21 or by email at [email protected]
