The District of Taylor Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday and one of the main items on the agenda was the issue of transitional parking and dangerous goods.
Taylor held a community forum on Oct. 26 to allow residents to address two main issues involved with the issues. The first topic discussed was that with the residential paving program in Taylor almost complete whether the transitional parking area be allowed to continue. The other dealt with dangerous goods and whether the current bylaw in Taylor should be amended to include the parking of dangerous goods.
Council agreed that a more defined listing of dangerous goods needed to be reached with District staff before a decision could be made and that it required more discussion. Council also agreed it would look at discussing the transitional parking issue with representatives from the trucking industry to help find a decision that works for all involved.
