The Prince George RCMP is asking for the the public to come forward with information relating to the investigation of a vehicle fire that has caused more than $30,000 damage.
On Oct. 28 at around 9 p.m. the Prince George RCMP were called to help assist the Prince George Fire Department at a truck and equipment site located in the 8900 block of Sintich Road.
The RCMP were advised that the fire had been set deliberately inside the cab of a semi tractor trailer unit. Luckily, the truck’s diesel tank was empty, but the fire still caused significant damage to both the cab and sleeper unit of the vehicle. The flames from the fire also caused damages to a passenger bus and a third vehicle parked close to the truck.
RCMP are seeking anyone with information relating to the fire to come forward. They can contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
