Multicultural Arts Exhibition in Fort St. John

 

As a part of its Community In Colour celebration, SUCCESS will be holding a Multicultural Arts Exhibition in Fort St. John.

The exhibition is on Nov. 6 and will be held at the Whole Wheat & Honey Cafe. The event is to allow people from the area to enjoy multicultural artists from the Peace region.

Laura Alcaraz-Sehn and Paola Banks will screen their documentary "Mexi-Can." Aboriginal singer and songwriter Shawna Lizotte will travel from Dawson Creek to play some of her original songs. Local Aboriginal poet Aimee Chalifoux will perform spoken word.

Nick Baccante and Mike Odowichuk will play some songs on guitar. Gurpreet Kaur along with some students from artSpace will do some Punjabi-style and Bollywodd dances. Mayrena Mills and Sarah Kim will show some of their artwork.

The event is free and family friendly, and will go from 6-10 p.m.
