Fog causing significant delays at Airport

The North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John is experiencing significant delays because of heavy fog in the area.

A representative from the airport said that Flight 953 from Vancouver had to be diverted back to Vancouver because of the fog. Currently there are no flights being permitted to either take off from or land at the airport.

Lineups at the airport are significant according to the representative. The best bet to find out about the delays is for customers to get in contact with their airline. For those picking someone up from the airport they are recommended to get in contact with those who they are supposed to pick up.

According to airport staff the fog does not look like it will be lifting anytime soon.
