The North Peace Leisure Pool will celebrate its grand reopening on Saturday.

The official ribbon cutting will be at 1 p.m. The pool was renovated earlier this year with new diving boards and upgrades to the men’s and women’s changerooms. Additional lockers were put in and the cardio-fitness room was relocated so it could look out over the pool deck. A handicap lift for the lap pool was also purchased.

There will be a free swim on Saturday from 12-3 p.m. Also included as a part of the celebration is the Inconnu Swim Club’s annual ‘Swim with the Olympian’ event. People are also invited to try out new fitness classes and there will be opportunities to learn about new birthday party themes.

There will also be a barbeque by donation to help support the swim club.
