Beaverlodge RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to find whoever removed “illuminators” from Highway 671, west of Range Road 123.
Illuminators are white posts that have black tape and reflective stripes and are usually used to mark road corners or intersections.
Police say they initially believed the illuminators may have been hit by a piece of equipment and had fallen off.
However, they say it seems that the illuminators were actually carefully removed, a feat that would have taken a considerable amount of time.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Beaverlodge RCMP at 780-354-2955 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
