Blair Lekstrom says he will run again in the next provincial election.

In an interview with the Prince George Citizen, Lekstrom says he will see re-election as an MLA in Peace River South, a riding he has represented since 2001.

The announcement ends speculation that he might seek the Conservative nomination to replace retiring Jay Hill in the Prince George-Peace River riding.

Lekstrom quit the Liberal cabinet and caucus in June to demonstrate his unhappiness with the way the Harmonized Sales Tax has been implemented in B.C
