Last month was a big month for construction in Fort St. John.
The City’s building numbers show 33 construction permits were issued in August 2010, with a total value of more than $6 million.
That compares to $4.9 million worth of permits in July, and $1.9 million in August of 2009.
The August numbers bring the total number of permits issued so far in 2010 to 208, worth almost $34 million – well over double the $14.4 million-total at the same point last year.
The City’s revenue from the August permits is $1,950, for a total of approximately $177,000 so far this year.
