Fort St. John RCMP have arrested one man and seized more than 30 grams of cocaine after looking for a stolen wallet.
The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. Thursday, when police were searching the area of 81 St. and 94 Ave. for two men who had stolen a wallet from a vehicle.
They then located one male – matching one of the suspect’s descriptions – walking with two females.
Police say when they tried to stop the man, he refused to stop and instead tried to hide behind a structure.
When police found the man, they discovered there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for trafficking cocaine.
