Grande Prairie RCMP search for men after assault


Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a woman was assaulted early Monday morning.

Police say the 28 year-old Grande Prairie woman picked up two men at approximately 3 a.m. in the area of 101/102 Street and 102/103 Avenue and drove to a gravel pit south of the city. She was driving a red two-door car.

She was then assaulted by the two males. One of the suspects is described as a tall aboriginal man with long, straight “feathered” hair. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

The other man is described as Caucasian, with red hair and he was clean cut. He was also wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Police would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the two men either before the incident or when getting into the woman’s car.
