One man is facing several charges after failing to stop for police in Grande Prairie.

Grande Prairie RCMP attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction, Saturday, but the driver refused to stop.

On Sunday, an officer spotted the 2003 Subaru and attempted to stop it again. The driver refused to stop and was pursued over several streets.

He eventually hit a concrete median and then attemped to flee on foot.

The 28 year-old Edmonton man was caught and arrested without further problems.

Police say that two cars were side-swiped during the chase and are asking the owners to report the damage to the detachment.

The man is facing five charges of evading police, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and two counts of possession of stolen property.
