One more group in Fort St. John has received gaming grants from the Province.

The Fort St. John Inconnu Swim Club has received $8,300 in the latest round of gaming grant announcements. With the latest announcement, the club will now get a total of $28,133 this year.

In June of this year MLA Pat Pimm announced gaming grants totaling more than $244,000 for groups in Fort St. John, but admitted some groups who applied this year won’t receive funding.

With the grants announced Saturday, the province provided funding for programs for youth and people with a disability.

In total, the latest round of funding supported 457 groups in the province with approximately $9.2 million.
