**Update – As of 4:30pm, most customers should have service restored following an outage that started at 10:30am this morning.

Shaw Cable and Internet services are down in parts of Northeastern B.C.
The outage currently affects just over 5,500 customers in both Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.
Cam Kernahan, the VP of Operations for Shaw Communications, says a fibre optic cable was cut around 10:34 a.m. by crews doing road construction west of Grande Prairie.
Kernahan says the same problem occurred Monday afternoon and the cable was fixed in approximately three and a half hours.
